General terms and conditions

General Directions

These general terms and conditions apply to all contracts concluded with the Hotel Schlössli Ipsach, GK Immobilien-Beteiligungen AG, provided that they fulfil the characteristics of the GTC provisions. They may be replaced by conditions negotiated in individual cases.

The Hotel Schlössli Ipsach may, without justification, make any acceptance of an order, any reservation or other service to be performed or continued dependent on the full or partial settlement of the amounts owed to it in the form of down payments, instalments or full payment, even if these are to be made as advance payments.

Amendments or supplements must be made in writing to be legally effective. The same shall apply to any waiver of the written form requirement.

Data Protection
The hotel undertakes to protect the confidentiality of the guest’s personal data. If the guest provides the hotel with personal data for the purpose of communication or orders, the hotel reserves the right to use this data for marketing purposes. The guest thus grants the hotel the right to exchange all information provided by him, such as e-mail address, telephone numbers, etc., within the hotel.

Reservation and Confirmation

• Each reservation is only guaranteed upon receipt of our detailed confirmation.
• Reserved rooms are available to the guest from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless other times have been expressly agreed.
• There is no entitlement to a refund in the event of early departure.
• The pre-reserved but not definitely booked rooms are binding for both contracting parties. We reserve the right to let the reserved rooms to other parties after expiry of the option dates without further notice.

Payment Terms and Conditions

• We accept the following means of payment: cash, Postcard, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, debit cards, Twint
• We accept no personal checks and do not accord any credit.
• If agreed in writing in advance, we will be happy to send you an invoice for your expenses (only within Switzerland), which is payable within 10 days of receipt without any deductions. After this period, interest on arrears will be charged at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum).
• For tour groups, the entire invoice is payable in advance or at the latest on arrival.
• For group bookings exceeding an invoice amount of CHF 2,000, we require a deposit.

Court of Jurisdiction
The concluded contracts with the Hotel Schlössli Ipsach and the business relations are subordinated to the Swiss law. The court of jurisdiction is Biel.

Guarantees and Cancellations
Up to 5 days before arrival the cancellation of a room is free of charge, up to 1 day before arrival we charge 50 %, after that 100 %. No-shows will be charged at 100 %. For group reservations of 10 rooms or 15 persons or more, the following cancellation conditions apply.

Without prior agreement, a room is guaranteed until 18.00 on the day of arrival. After 18.00 the hotel management reserves the right to re-let the rooms.

Any reservation for groups guaranteed by us can be cancelled by you as follows:

• Up to 30 days prior the beginning of the event free of charge
• Up to 29-15 days prior the beginning of the event 30% of the reserved but not used performance is going to be counted
• Up to 14-3 days prior the beginning of the event 50% of the reserved but not used performance is going to be counted
• Up to 2 days prior the beginning of the event 100% of the reserved but not used performance is going to be counted

The guest is not entitled to the provision of specific rooms.

Price Guarantee
The prices quoted are valid for 90 days from the date of our offer. After this period, prices may be subject to change without prior notice. The prices valid on the day of arrival will then apply. The prices include statutory VAT and taxes.

Insurances
The customer or visitor bears the sole risk of liability for objects or materials left behind in generally accessible rooms of the hotel and in the hotel’s technical facilities. The hotel is liable for items brought in by guests in accordance with the statutory provisions, i.e. up to the amount of CHF 1,000. The hotel is not liable for slight or medium negligence. If valuables (jewellery etc.), cash or securities are not handed over to the hotel for safekeeping, the guest shall be liable. The hotel recommends that money and valuables are always kept in the hotel safe. The Hotel Schlössli Ipsach accepts no responsibility for damage of any kind, in particular damage caused by fire and/or theft.
