Terms and Conditions

General information

These general terms and conditions apply to all contracts concluded with Hotel Schlössli Ipsach, GK Immobilien-Beteiligungen AG, provided that they meet the requirements of the general terms and conditions. They may be replaced by terms and conditions negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

The Hotel Schlössli Ipsach may, without giving reasons, make any acceptance of an order, reservation, or other service to be performed or continued dependent on the full or partial payment of the amounts owed to it, in the form of advance payments, partial payments, or full payment, even if these are to be made in advance.

Amendments or additions must be made in writing to be legally valid. The same applies to any waiver of the written form requirement.

The hotel undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of guests' personal data. If guests provide personal data to the hotel for communication or ordering purposes, the hotel reserves the right to use this data for marketing purposes. Guests thereby grant the hotel the right to share all information provided by them, such as email addresses, telephone numbers, etc., within the hotel.

Reservation and confirmation

Each reservation is only guaranteed upon receipt of our detailed confirmation.
Reserved rooms are available to guests from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless other times have been expressly agreed.
In the event of early departure, there is no entitlement to a refund.
Rooms that have been pre-reserved but not definitively booked are binding for both contracting parties. We reserve the right to rent out the reserved rooms to other parties without further notice after the option dates have expired.

payment terms

We accept the following payment methods: cash, Postcard, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, debit cards, Twint
We do not accept personal checks and do not offer credit.
If agreed in advance in writing, we will be happy to send you an invoice for your expenses (only within Switzerland), which is payable in full within 10 days of receipt. After this period, interest on arrears of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) will be charged.
For travel groups, the entire bill is payable in advance or upon arrival at the latest.
For group bookings exceeding CHF 2,000, we require a deposit.

Place of jurisdiction
Contracts concluded with Hotel Schlössli Ipsach and business relationships entered into are subject to Swiss law. The place of jurisdictionis Biel.

Guarantees and cancellations
Cancellation of a room is free of charge up to 5 days before arrival, up to 1 day before arrival we charge 50%, thereafter 100%. No-shows will be charged at 100%. For group reservations of 10 rooms or 15 people or more, the cancellation conditions below apply.

Without prior agreement, a room is guaranteed until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. After 6:00 p.m., the hotel management reserves the right to re-rent the rooms.

Any group reservation guaranteed by us can be canceled by you as follows:

Free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the event
Between 29 and 15 days before the start of the event, 30% of the services ordered but not used will be charged.
Between 14 and 3 days before the start of the event, 50% of the services ordered but not used will be charged.
From 2 days before the start of the event, 100% of the services ordered but not used will be charged.

The guest does not acquire any right to the provision of specific rooms.

Price GuaranteeThe prices quoted are valid for 90 days from the date of our offer. After this period, prices are subject to change without notice. The prices valid on the day of arrival will then apply. Prices include statutory VAT and taxes.

Insurance
The customer or visitor bears sole liability for any items or materials left in the hotel's public areas and technical facilities. The hotel is liable for guests' belongings in accordance with the statutory provisions, i.e. up to an amount of CHF 1,000. The hotel is not liable for slight or moderate negligence. Guests are liable for any valuables (jewelry, etc.), cash, or securities that are not handed over to the hotel for safekeeping. The hotel recommends that money and valuables be kept in the hotel safe. Hotel Schlössli Ipsach accepts no responsibility for damage of any kind, in particular damage caused by fire and/or theft.
